Communities
Registries Can Benefit Communities:
- Help control vaccine- preventable diseases.
- Help identify high-risk populations and under- immunized populations.
- Help prevent disease outbreaks.
- Link (where supported by legislation) with other health databases, such as newborn and lead screening, or other state registries.
- Provide information on community and state coverage rates.
- Streamline vaccine management.
- Facilitate school efforts to assess student compliance with immunization requirements.
